Road Tripping with Ford

The other week, Christian, Binxie and I were lucky enough to get away for a little mini-babymoon road trip!

After reviewing a number of travel options, we finally settled on the beautiful Lake Okanagan. It is within a reasonable drive-time from our home in Vancouver, and, the trip is stunningly beautiful. (If you haven't yet had a chance to visit British Columbia, Canada, I would highly recommend it)
Once we arrived, we quickly settled into "cabin life": fresh air, lakeside walks, smores on the beach, and fireside snuggles. It was really perfect, and just so much fun. I really couldn't have asked for a better location to enjoy the remaining months of our current family, before it grows by one little man!

We were also lucky enough to try out the new Ford Fusion Sport. And, it was just the perfect road trip car! The inside was so comfy, which made the 4 hour drive a breeze, and the power of the LED headlights and the engine made us feel incredibly safe while traversing the coastal mountains to get into the Okanagan Valley. And, since my husband says I have a tendency to overpack (oops), I was thrilled that all of my bags easily fit into the large truck.

What I was most impressed with was all of the intuitive features: sensors for rain, objects, temperature, light and drive-style (it told me to get a coffee...eek) allowed me to focus on the road and my little family, inside. And, I have to say, I also particularly loved the heating/cooling seats, as they allowed far more control over the passenger zones - which, as an expectant mother whose body temperature fluctuates constantly, kept me really comfortable (and saved Christian from dying of heat).
It was amazing week :)

Thanks so much to Ford Canada!
