Travelling Down the Amalfi Coast

Today, we had to leave the beautiful Bellevue Syrene, to continue our journey south. Prior to starting our drive down the Amalfi Coast, we had our final lunch on the Bellevue Syrene's stunning terrace. These beautiful views will be missed!

For the travel day, I picked this super-cute Shabby Apple dress, and paired it with adorable but comfy Keds, and my go-to sunglasses from Polette.

I will miss the beautiful beautiful Bellevue Syrene (and my amazing patio), but the drive south to Praiano, via Positano, was incredibly gorgeous. The windy roads were a tough-go, but I've never seen such incredible sights!

  7. This article really hits home. Many people think traveling is only for the wealthy, but as you explained, it’s the “vacation” mindset that makes it expensive. Choosing to travel slowly, explore local markets, and stay in budget-friendly accommodations can open up so many opportunities. I love that you’ve highlighted the difference—it makes me want to rethink how I spend my time away from work.Maine vacation

  10. This is such a compelling story of change and adaptation. Many people dream about leaving behind the stress of a demanding career, but few actually take the leap. I love how Jay Martin embraced the opportunity to live abroad and document her experiences in Vodka and Apple Juice. Warsaw is such a vibrant city, full of history and culture, so I can only imagine the mix of challenges and adventures she faced. This memoir sounds like a must-read for anyone who enjoys travel stories with a personal twist. To home page

  11. This was such a captivating piece! I think many readers will resonate with Jay’s challenges, especially those who’ve lived abroad. It’s funny how cultural differences, like currency issues or unexpected ingredients in food, can be both frustrating and memorable. At the same time, you touched on a deeper issue: how relationships can be tested when life changes drastically. Thank you for sharing such an honest perspective—it makes the story not only entertaining but also relatable. free walking tour Istanbul

  12. This is such a captivating journey! From the moment Tom’s diplomatic posting is announced to the first cappuccino in Warsaw’s Old Town, the details make the experience feel real. The book seems to highlight how stepping outside of one’s comfort zone can lead to adventure and self-discovery. Definitely adding this memoir to my reading list—it sounds like a wonderful blend of humor, honesty, and travel storytelling.nile river cruises

  13. This is such a fascinating perspective on life abroad. The way you described Jay’s transition from a vibrant social scene with cocktail parties and ambassadorial events to the daily frustrations of cultural differences really highlights the ups and downs of expat living. Many readers who’ve lived overseas will connect with the struggle of maintaining personal identity while adapting to a spouse’s career demands. The detail about Poland’s quirks made me smile—it’s those unique cultural surprises that make expat life both challenging and memorable.Hungary

  14. This was such an enjoyable read! I love how Jay embraced the excitement of moving abroad instead of getting stuck in the stress of daily life in Canberra. Her story really shows the beauty of being open to change and saying “yes” to new adventures. The way you described Warsaw’s Old Town Square made me want to visit Poland myself—it sounds so charming and full of history. Thanks for sharing this inspiring journey!travel agencies
