Happy October!

Can you believe that Fall is already in full swing! It’s super exciting for me because it brings with it one of my favorite holidays … HALLOWEEN! My fiancé Christian and I take Halloween pretty seriously: we both love pumpkin craving, decorating, candy, and of course, our costumes! We don’t typically agree on what our costumes will be for Halloween, though. I’ve been trying to get Christian to wear a couples costume with me for years. Christian thinks that all Halloween costumes should be scary or funny, whereas I, (of course) opt for a pretty, girly costume. (If I wanted to look like a zombie, I would just skip my morning coffee and concealer.) I think that Halloween is an opportunity wear as much glitter as possible! Even though Christian and I don’t agree on what makes an amazing costume, what we do agree on is that we shouldn’t spend a ton of money to have an epic Halloween, and that’s why we love getting to Value Village, where you can literally get everything you need in one stop and totally come in well under-budget!

I really can’t resist a fun wig and some kind of fairy wings! I also love hunting for the ingredients to create a truly one-of-a-kind costume, but if that’s not your for forté they also have a ton of ready-to-go costumes accessories to cater to every preference.

For my costume this year, I’ve selected a couple of pieces for what I think is a pretty amazing fairy costume, complete with a pink tutu, fairy wings, a floral crown, a magic wand and the prettiest cotton candy-colored wig ever! I literally cannot wait to wear this at our annual Halloween costume party. The best part? I scored this whole look and some fun décor for less than $50! Can you believe it?
